Regulation: The Foundation of Wellness

Spilling the Educational Tea

In this episode, Loudine and Melissa chat about regulation as the foundation of wellness. What is regulation? What are the different types of regulation, and why is it important that we learn how to regulate? Grab a long, tall glass of something cool and join us as we dive into the first episode about this crucial topic.

Academic Expectations

Spilling the Educational Tea

In this episode, Melissa and Loudine chat about how learners and their parents can set realistic, healthy academic expectations. While well-intentioned, unrealistic expectations can cause more harm than good. A better approach is to work on improvement and learning lifelong skills instead of aiming for a specific grade or test score.

Matric: The Final Stretch

Spilling the Educational Tea

Join Melissa and Loudine as we talk about the matric final exam, how parents and learners can prepare, and what to expect. We cover the basics of taking care of both physical and mental health, tips for answering exam questions and calming nerves, as well as how to deal with the ‘post-matric-final blues’. This follows on from Melissa’s very informative talk with Pippa Hudson on Cape Talk on Monday, 6 October, which you can listen to here: https://omny.fm/shows/afternoons-with-pippa-hudson/family-matters-matric-prep

Make a cup of tea and join us in this very informative episode (and please ignore the sound of happy hounds playing in the background!).

The EduHelp Community Initiative
